I went digital!!

Sorta...I'm not totally converted or anything..I love getting paper dust all over the place, accidently getting paint on my shirt and ink all over my fingertips...so it's just an addition to. Anyways I've been looking at ADobe Photo Shop Elements for awhile now and I found out you can try it free for 30 days so I thought why not and here's 2 layouts I made with it! The papers and elements were all downloaded from the internet. Although, ACBailey (http://www.acbaileyltd.com/) has some really cute digital kits in the online store that I'm planning on purchasing very soon!

Dixie Pieces DT call..

Ok, I thought I'd post this call just in case someone actually reads my blog! lol! Anyways, Dixie Pieces is a fun community, the owners are awesome and their DT Coordinator just totally Rocks! (shameless plug) anyways, the call is short in time but here's the details:

Design team submissions are due by midnight Pacific time, March 28th.DixiePieces is a monthly kit company that will celebrate it first anniversary in November 2008. We are building a business and community that caters to scrapbookers and paper crafters; our kits offer the latest quality papers and embellishments from leading manufacturers. We’re looking for three designers to add to our design team who are committed to scrapbooking and also willing to create in other paper arts fields.
Our Goals:• Deliver products and designs to our customers that encourage and inspire them to document their lives and enjoy their journey.• Build an online community of scrapbookers and paper crafters who use the DixiePieces’ website as a place of encouragement, honesty and grace where we can all feel comfortable, have fun, and share our knowledge and creativity.
What We Want from Our Design Team:We want DixiePieces designers to use the kit materials creatively, in a variety of styles, and think outside the box. Please do not dismiss your style or your talent – it may be the perfect complement to another designer’s. We expect you to:
• Make a six-month commitment as a DixiePieces Design Team member.• Create layouts from your original designs, showcasing your unique talent and style, and demonstrating a range of skill from basic to advanced.• Submit 2-3 layouts from the monthly kit. At least one layout must be a two-page layout. 12x12 layouts are preferred but 8-1/2x11 are acceptable. Layouts smaller than 8-1/2x11 are considered a project.• Create a project or two-three cards with the monthly kit.• Meet publication deadlines. Assignments must be uploaded in the DixiePieces gallery prior to the kit’s unveiling on the first of the month.• Promote yourself by posting your layouts/projects on other online galleries and blogs or submitting them for publication.• Identify the DixiePieces kit when any layout/project is posted or published to another gallery, blog, or publication.• Remain positive, provide excitement and offer encouragement to others in the Dixie Pieces community.• Participate in the DixiePieces forum daily, participate in our challenges and online crops, and comment on gallery postings.• Add the DixiePieces link to your blog and in your signature line for other message boards or groups as allowed.• Always submit your suggestions and observations to help make the DixiePieces community more friendly and successful.
What we offer our design team:• Our design team consists of 6-8 designers, split into two teams that alternate design duties every other month. You will receive a free monthly kit with free shipping in the US and reduced shipping outside the US. The kit is yours to use in creating your assignments. In the months you do not design with the kit, you may purchase one at a 30% discount.• Your designs remain your property. By participating as a DixiePieces design team member, you are giving DixiePieces the right to publish and promote your work in the course of its business. Your work will be publicized on our site and in advertising for our company and community.• Your photo and bio will appear on the DixiePieces site.• We will make every effort to minimize short deadlines.• You will receive a 30% discount on purchases you make from Dixie Pieces. Are you willing to challenge yourself? Want to participate in a positive community, make new friends, and challenge others? If so, apply by March 28, 2008. Here’s how:The design team is open to US and Canadian residents at least 18 years old who can communicate using English (our limitation, not yours). I've been tagged by Lisa!

Here is how it works: You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details).

Here I go, my middle name is Sue...short and sweet, makes it easy for me!

S--I have started SCHOOL again. I am going to the University of Pheonix to get an Associates in accounting and possibly my bachlors too.

U--Unable to sleep lately..hmmm...got to do something about that.

E--Excited to finally be on the ACBailey Design team!

And the ladies I am going to tag are:

Marci, Melissa, and hmmm... got to find someone else to tag!
