Halloween has come and gone...and so did fall?

What is up with this weather? I seriously just had to switch back to the AC in my house! Did fall come and go with Halloween? hmmm... I am definately in Utah. lol.

Halloween was fun. The kids dressed up as a pirate: And a cute little lady bug:

Hayden ended up going with his friend Cody so me and Suzi went trick or treating to our old ward's neighborhood since we were in Hurricane. I got to see most of my Hurricane friends, even just for a second, it was great to see them! Then me and Suzi handed out treats and Gramma Suzi's and hung out there until Hayden was done at his party then we came home. The kids had a pretty good time I think, and I enjoyed it as well.

Hope everyone else had a safe and happy Halloween as well! We sure did!

American Crafts purchased Pebbles Inc.!

This is from the American Crafts blog:

From the AC blog...We’re excited to announce the acquisition of Pebbles, an amazing scrapbooking brand that we’re certain will be a great compliment to the American Crafts product lines. Pebbles will remain a separate brand under the American Crafts umbrella. We will continue to offer their current products and plan to introduce new products over time. And the core of Pebbles design team will join us to ensure a continuation of their fun, fresh style.Pebbles was created in 2001 as an extension of the Pebbles in my Pocket retail stores that are located in Utah. They make simple, cute, and easy-to-use products, including patterned paper, craft chalk and stencils, decorative Chips chipboard shapes, self-adhesive Candy Dots, themed die cuts, ribbon and more. We’re so excited to welcome the Pebbles brand! If you aren’t familiar with them, check out their products featured on their web site. And make sure to visit their blog for regular ideas, inspiration, challenges and giveaways.

Playing catch up...

So much has happened and I have really blogged about anything major lately. We were pretty busy this summer. The most exciting part was that we were finally sealed to Hayden! Bryan and I were married in the temple and Suzi was born under the covenant, but now Hayden has been sealed to our family forever! After that we went on a little family vacation with Bryan's parents and brother up to Salt Lake. We went to Hogle Zoo, Temple Square, Chuck E Cheese, Toys R Us, and Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum. The kids loved it and we had a great time!

School has started and Hayden is in 5th grade. It's kinna cool cuz he is going to the same school for 5th grade that I did, different teacher though. Our new house is barely a block away from school and sometimes if we're lucky, me and Suzi can see him on the playground from our deck.
Hayden's school is started and I'm coming to the ending of getting my Associates in Accounting. I will be finished on November 7...However...starting December 1 I will be moving on to my Bachlors in Business, with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
I haven't really done much creatively in awhile...I've been busy. However, my turn is coming up on the Pebbles Inc blog so be watching for that! Every week we have challenges, inspiration and tips from some amazing and wonderful DT members. So if you're looking for some mojo you should check it out: www.pebblesinc.blogspot.com
Well, that's all for now. I've got homework to do (as always), kids to put to bed and some cleaning to do. Thanks for stopping by!

Designs By Leah @ Funky Playground Designs

When I applied for the PEbbles Inc. team, I thought I'd apply for Leah's Creative Team as well. It's a digi/hybrid team and I have been wanting to get into the digi more so I gave it a shot. I didn't make the team but I did make guest designer for July. Her kit Cherry Pie is just amazing. I love the color combos and thought it would look great with some tulip pictures I have of Miss Suzi. So here is my layout using this awesome kit. And while you're checking out this kit, be sure to check out the rest of her kits, she's one amazing designer!

More layouts and Pebbles Inc RAK!

Those who know me know that I {heart} Pebbles in My Pocket and Pebbles Inc. I have always loved them since day the day I bought my first supplies back in 1995 from Pebbles In My Pocket. Well Pebbles Inc is having a design team call, which is literally a dream for me to be a part of the Pebbles team. So I've been scrapping like crazy trying to make "application worthy" layouts for the call. So here's a few more layouts that I've been working on. Yes, there's a lot of Pebbles Inc products here, but their stuff is so cute! Even if I wasn't applying I would be all over this stuff! Their new So Tweet is and Skipping Along are my favs..Let me know what you think of the new Pebbles Inc products and I will do a drawing on Friday for a little Pebbles Inc product RAK from me!! ACBailey National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to AC Bailey's FIRST ever blog hop! Do we have a treat for YOU! This is an awesome opportunity for you to meet all the ACB DT members, learn lots of (hopefully) new ideas and techniques, gain some inspiration and you may even win some prizes along the way! Here is how this works, if you are already on my site via a link you already know this, but for those of you popping in here mid-stream, let me explain.
The FIRST post or START to this blog hop is on the AC Bailey blog at: www.acbailey.blogspot.com There you will find the instructions, all the "fine print" details and such, you will then go from that blog post, to the next DT member whose link is in the post, once you have visited that gals site, you will click on the link she has in her post to the next designer and so on and so on,...following me? Be sure to leave a comment on each blog as at every site there will be a random name drawn from all who post and one lucky gal on EACH blog will win a SUPER prize. Then- when you are finished with all THAT-create a layout or project using three or more of the ideas you saw demo'd on the blogs and post that layout in the gallery in the NSD layout folder (under Scrap Stimulus Contest) section and then post how much fun you had and a link to your layout on the special NSD thread in the Scrap Stimulus Contest section of the forum! We will then draw one lucky winner form all those posting qualifying layouts and THAT lucky "rabbit" will win a May KOTM _ how cool would that be?? It COULD be you, all you need to do is PLAY! It is a lot easier than this perhaps sounds, try it! You will enjoy it and don't worry- we will have instructions for you all the way through this and we will be available off and on all weekend on the forum so if you get stuck yell out and we can help you-easy and FUN - and PRIZES! What more could you ask for???

For anyone who does not know, my name is Ginnifer Maloney and I am a part of the ACBailey Design Team. I found ACB by accident a few years ago while I was finding sites to sell crafts on. Because of ACB I have learned what community forums are and how much fun they can be! I've been on the team for over a year now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I've made a lot of friends and had support through some hard times and I'm very grateful for that. Currently my favorite product available through ACB is (don't be too shocked my friends ;)) is Bazzill In Stitchz! I love the patterns and the finishing touch it adds to my layouts. They are very versitle and you don't even need to actually "stitch" to use them! I like to find different ways to use them including making my own felt embellishments, so check them out in the store! Erica has the complete program available which will get you started on this addiction of mine.

So now for my how-to I'd like to show you how to make some buttons! What you will need are:
Circle punches
Think Chipboard (cereal boxes are perfect!)
Patterned paper (even just scraps)
Paper piercer or something with a sharp point
Glossy Accents by Ranger
adhesive
The first step is to punch your "buttons" out of the chipboard and patterned paper. Then you glue the punched patterned paper circle to the chipboard circle.

Next you poke your button holes. If you don't have a paper peircer (I use the one by Bazzill) then a thumbtack or sewing needle will work.

Once you do that, cover the button with a layer of glossy accents. Try to avoid covering the holes of your buttons, if you accidently do, wait til it's fully dry and peirce again.

Once they have dried and hardened, you will have buttons like these:

Then use them on your layouts and projects! Simple and easy, just a little time consuming while waiting for them to dry, but well worth the wait!

Thanks for stopping by my blog during this glorious holiday! (lol). I hope you've enjoyed learning this technique..Now your next stop is at Elisabeth's blog at:http://elisabeth-workofheart.blogspot.com/ Have a nice day!

Monthly-Memories.com

Some good friends of mine have started up a kit club found here: http://www.monthly-memories.com/layouts.html I recently went to a scrapbooking night at the church and one of the designers was there making layouts for the kit so I got a little sneaky peek at some things not already on the site. This club is a little different from the one's that are are there. They're layouts are designed to not be confusing, not to take a long time and the paper is even designed by them. They are Monthly Memory originals! I think it's pretty neat so check it out when you get the chance!

Twilight Fans....

Did you know that scentsy makes a "Twilight" Scent? It's a soft romantic scent with soft florals and ocean air...Well, that's what the description says. I like it. My family and friends (shout out to my friends from the Hurricane 10th ward!) can test the scent when I have an open house this month. For everyone else, if you want to own the scent yourself, go to my website: www.scentsy.com/gmaloney
Thanks for stopping by!

I chopped it off...

after months and months of my hair driving me crazy, I finally chopped it off. I actually did the initial chopping myself. I put my hair in a braid and cut it off. 10 inches exactly, which is perfect because it's exactly the minimum requirement needed for Locks of Love. I've always wanted to donate hair, but as most people who know me may have noticed, my hair is thin. But, I found out that it takes 10-15 donations to make one wig. So, my little bunch can make a set of bangs! lol. Anyways. I'll get a pic and post it tomorrow. I love how the cut turned out. My sis in law does an awesome job on my hair. Oh miss Sue Sue got a haircut too so I'll be posting our new do's tomorrow.

March KOTM from ACBailey..

I loved this kit right from the start. It's so girly, and I have a lot of little girls in my life, (1 daughter, 7 neices) and so I can never have enough girly scrappy supplies. I have made a few layouts that I made with the kit but I will be revealing them throughout the month, so check back! The first one I made I used the kit contents, then I used a white gel pen and a Bazzill template to fake some stitching. I really love how it turned out. Everything can be found at: http://www.acbaileydesigns.net/ and it's free shipping on orders over $35! Just enter code FREE. Thanks for stopping by!

quick update...

It's been awhile. With the new house, moving, sicknesses, school (I am reverting to my teenage years and saying out loud "ALGEBRA SUCKS!" lol) and just life in general I've been letting the blog suffer. So here are a few updates:

*I am NOT going to flunk Algebra! I should get in the B range.

*I get to start ACcounting classes, yay!

*Dixie Pieces is having their annual crop. Check it out.

*It's free shipping day at ACB! And for a limited time when you order the March KOTM you get a free acrylic album. How cool is that?

Today was cabinet day!!

My cabinets came today! Aren't they gorgeous? Everything is coming together so fast and I am loving it! My carpet is being installed upstairs today and it's going to look great! I love my color choices and I can't wait to get into this house and start to decorate it!
