I can't believe my little Sue Sue is 2! She amazes me every moment of everyday. I absolutely love her at this age! I am constantly laughing at the silly things she does and says and every time I look at her I can't help but smile! Here are some pictures from her birthday. I decorated her cake using cricut cut outs.. I ran out of time or I would have done more. The sad thing is that is the only thing I've done with my cricut since Christmas! The gift I just had to have has hardly been used! But watch out! I'm going Cricut crazy this week!

New Addition
We've got a new family Member!! Izzy joined our family yesterday! She's a beautiful Boxer puppy and I absolutely adore her! I'm so not a dog person. If you ask anyone that knows me well, they can tell you that me and dogs just don't mix. She was my brother's dog and he needed to find her a new home and was asking my mom to take her but she couldn't. I happened to be with my mom when he was trying to arrange it and I mentioned it was tempting. You see, we used to have a dog, actually my husband had a dog before we were married and once we were married we still had him. Eventually we had to let him go because he was so territorial he was biting me when he was under the bed and I would come into the bedroom. My husband is a truck driver and the dog was used to protecting him so I was like invading their space. There's a lot more to it but I won't get into it. Long story short, we surrendered the dog to the shelter. (He ended up in a good home and he's very happy, we've seen him tons of times!) Anyways, the point I'm getting at is that Bryan had it set in his mind that we wouldn't be getting a dog anytime soon, which is sad because he is a big time animal-lover-got-to-have-a-pet type of person, I'm not. But yesterday we went to Petco because he wanted to "look". I didn't want to come home with a stinky hamster, gerbil, noisy bird, or fish that die every couple of days so I kept saying no, but he didn't know I talked to my mom and arranged to be the one to take Izzy. So yesterday, my family was in shock when my brother showed up with our new dog. I think my hubby is still shocked. (He was upset for months after we had to let his other dog go). But she is so good! Very mellow. She loves to play but will snuggle too. She has to be trained still in some areas but she's very smart. I'm sure she'll get it. But at least she's housebroken!
Christmas Creations
Here are some fun ornaments I made using products I got from http://www.acbaileydesigns.com/ I used My Mind's Eye Festive and Frost papers. The Festive has some fun non-traditional Christmas colors in it but it is still so festive, and I love the "wintery" feel of the Frost. They're only available for a limited time through ACBailey so order yours while you still can! Free shipping on the first of every month!

Weekend projects
I scrapped my halloween pics from this year and I absolutely love the SR salem line. I just used the scrap strip paper and I'm totally wishing I bought all the paper. But I'm out of halloween pics so I guess you snooze, ya loose right? I also finished a Christmas present for a friend. I found this sign thing at a thrift store and bought it for $1. Yes $1! So I repainted it with and crackled it and love the results. The letters and flower are chipboard! I love the subtle dimension on it. I absolute LOVE how it turned out. I'm going to so something similar for my own home. I used to hate to paint my chipboard, but now that I've crackled it, holy cow! Don't be suprised if the technique is on my next dozen layouts!

I forgot to formally announce that I am a http://mysketchworld.blogspot.com/ Diva Designer. It's an awesome sketch site by Lucy Chesna. This month is her anniversary for the site so be sure to check it out because there are contest sponsors. Here's the layouts that I've done for the first 2 weeks.

Painful Reminders
My revelation has faded away,
existing yesterday but gone today.
Painful reminders
of what was to be,
A sorrowful ending
to the joy I won't see.
An empty feeling
in my heart and my womb,
in my heart and my womb,
Praying for the comfort,
that will take away this gloom.
Everyday is getting better,
day by day I see a light.
But knowing that my baby's gone,
in my heart, will never be right.
So I'll take joy in the children beside me,
and in the husband I hold dear,
I'll be grateful for what I do have
when I wipe away my tears.

A few layouts
I did these layouts just for fun. All products are available at http://www.acbaileydesigns.com/ The box in the background is my RAK from Aubrey! It is so awesome!! (the RAK not the box lol.) There was so much more in it than what was promised. I'm hoping to play with some of the yummy albums this weekend so I'll post soon!
Church bulletin board
I was asked several months ago to take care of our ward's bulletin board for Relief Society. I've really enjoyed it, but I always forget to take pictures. So today, as I was doing Novembers, I actually had my camera. The lighting inside the hallway isn't that great but you get it. I love the scarecrow. I turned some clipart into a paper piecing pattern and this is what came of it.

I've been tagged!!
Ok, this is my first one so I'm hoping I get it right. I've been tagged by Lisa http://lisadcarroll.blogspot.com/ and Tilda http://raggedydayz.blogspot.com/
Here are the rules which must be posted on your blog if you are tagged:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.
Here's my facts:
1. I cannot sleep in total darkness or silence, so I sleep with the tv on all night. (dh is same way)
2. I love to sing, but the only ones who get to hear me are under the age of 10!
3. I met my husband on yahoo personals.
4. I sleep "upside down" a majority of the time, meaning my head is at the foot of the bed and feet at the top. I know, wierd, but it works.
5. I live .6 miles from my parents (i've clocked it out of curiosity)
6. I am not a pets person.
7. I went to school to be a medical receptionist but realized that I have a phobia of answering phones and making calls. I'm serious. I don't even answer my cell phone if I don't know who it is.
Ok, now I'm pathetic and don't know any one who hasn't been tagged so my list is short:

I won!
I won I won I won!! I won this awesome RAK from the ever so awesome Aubrey Rives. She had a drawing on her blog: http://aubreyr.blogspot.com/ and I actually won!! Thanks Aubrey. This is the picture of what I'll be getting!
I'm so excited. Those board books look so cute and those crowns...wow. I can't wait to play with all of this!! Thanks again Aubrey!
Pebbles Inc..
Here's a double page layout I did for the online crop at JYSH.org. I used all Pebbles Inc products. It's from their new "My Girl" collection. I have been a huge fan of Pebbles Inc. since I was 18 and bought my first scrapbooking supplies from Pebbles In My Pocket. They're stuff is so cute and they've come out with some new lines that aren't as "cartoonie" as before. You should check it out: http://www.pebblesinc.com/

Waiting for another DT
So, recently I submitted for yet another DT position. At first I didn't want to put myself through that heartache again when I'm not picked, but once again, something told me to do it anyways. It's a new kit club site and I'm really liking the owners and the other members there. I'm really wanting to be on this DT but I'm pretty sure I'll stick around after the call even if I don't get picked. That's what drives me crazy about DT Calls. You find a good "home" to hang out and they'll get a ton of new members just during the call and if the memebers don't make it, they disappear! I could just start applying to every DT call that comes out but I like to make sure it's a place I want to be regardless of dt membership or not. So all those who applied for Dixie Pieces like me, GOOD LUCK! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Now and then challenge
This is yet another one from ACBailey's scrap groovin party. I love how this turned out. It's pretty simple but I'm loving it because I almost didn't have the pictures of my son in his first year. They were taken from me by my ex but when I was downsizing some stuff I found Christmas cards that I never sent with pictures of my boy in them!

Some new creations just for me
I made these two layouts for no other reason than because I wanted to. I wasn't doing any challenges, no pubcalls or dt calls, no commitment scrapping. I did these for the pure love of the craft. The "A Rare Moment" one I absolutely love. It's not my normal style of scrapping but I absolutely love how it all turned out! I love the "chillin" one too. It's not an AMAZING-dang-I've-got-to-get-it-published layout but I love how the pictures and the colors in the paper compliment each other.

Quite the scare
So, last night, I sent in my submissions for both Piggy Tales and October Afternoon. It was around 9 when I got them sent in. Midnight was the deadline for the Piggy Tales so I submitted that onee first. I did the October Afternoon submission next and after I sent that email off I noticed I recieved a new email..It was a "Mailer Demon!--address unknown" My Piggy Tales one was sent back! I accidently put an extra 'n' in the address. So, I fixed it, resent it and thought it was good. Well about a half hour later I checked again and I got another mailer demon! This time I figured it was because my aol capitalized the beginning and maybe the address was case sensitive. I wanted to fix it but had to get the kids to bed so I thought I would just do it right after that. Well, after I put Suzi to bed I started scrapbooking and at about midnight I remembered I forgot to resend it. I wanted to cry so bad! So I thought I'd get the brilliant idea to resend it, with the mailer demon messages, proving I did send it before midnight. So I sent it a third time, made sure everything was perfect and sent it again. I waited for a couple of minutes then checked my mail...guess what? Another demon! And this point I was in tears. I posted on a message board my fustration then i noticed the clock...12:46 am...MOUNTAIN TIME. I still had 14 minutes to get my entry in. It was only 11:46 pm pacific! So, I sent it a fourth time from my Yahoo email and I am happy to report, this morning I got a confirmation email saying they recieved my Submission!!! I'm so happy!
I also made 1 page last night. I LOVE how it turned out. I pretty much scraplifted a layout from Scrapbook etc. magazine so it took like 20 minutes to do. My stitching program has issues when I use white backgrounds so the image isn't the greatest, but it is one of my new favorite layouts!

Check out the blinkie
Erica from http://www.acbaileydesigns.com/ asked me to make this blinkie for their upcoming party in September. I love how it turned out. It's a 60 themed month full of fun. Their DT has some great things planned, so check it out. All September long.

I'm So HOT!!!!!
And I'm not talking about looks! I guess I should be used to it because I am in the desert, but my a/c keeps going out. I walked into the house tonight and it was 80 inside! My a/c froze over AGAIN. We had this problem last year and we would have to have the a/c serviced literally every month. Fortunately we rent so it doesn't come out of our pocket. This summer or spring actually we had it serviced and haven't had a problem until now. I feel a cool breeze from somewhere near me so hopefully it's going to work. I hate being hot when I'm trying to sleep and I fell bad when my kids have to sweat too.

I'm so excited!!!!
I finally got my internet back. Things are finally looking up for the Maloney family. I called last Wednesday and they said it would be up Tuesday. Waiting those days about killed me, so after a very emotionally filled weekend, I'm happily catching up on message boards and emails. I'm back in my zone and doing so much better than I was doing yesterday. It's amazing how one little thing can totally change your outlook on things. So now I'm back and thought I'd do something about a blog (especially now that I may have people who would actually want to read it, thanks Marci!) I was going to just start over, but I like how I named this one. It fits so I'll keep it. I'm going to do some "dressing up" if I can figure it out. One things for sure, I'll get some pictures up. I love bragging about my kids so I should have something up about them.
So today was my son's first day of school. He's in third grade now and holy cow the boy's getting big. I'm so proud of him. Last year when the school year was over, he was reading and understanding math beyond his grade level. I can't wait for his first assesment to see what his teacher says about him.
My daughter, hmm...what can I say about that fidgiting ball of energy, other than I'm glad it's not destructive energy. The girl is not a sitter. Of course at 20 months she should be all over the place. But the other night she woke up in the middle of the night crying and she actually let me rock her back to sleep! This girl NEVER lets me rock her, and she hasn't purposely fell asleep on me since she was 4 months. So even though it was late I enjoyed every minute of it.
Well that's all I can think of for now. Hopefully I'll play around with this tomorrow. I need to work on my October Afternoon and Piggy Tales DT submissions, so I'm not sure where my focus will be. They both say you can do previous work, but I wanna give them something that I put my heart in just for them. TTFN!

What's in a name?
I forgot to say in my last post what "Sunnydayscrapper" is all about. Sunnydayscrapper is a name I use on message boards. Why Sunnydayscrapper? Because if you take the letters from my kid's names and anagram them you get Sunny Days! (A few letters are missing of course) And I mostly scrap my kids so there for: Sunnydayscrapper!

Yeah! I'm special too.
Hey I started a blog too. Not for any major reason. Mostly because my son wants a place to post his scrapbook pages too. I don't know if I have anything interesting to say, my life is pretty boring so I'm not making any promises. But of course!!! I can talk about scrapbooking. Currently, I am an Independant Consultant for ACBaileydesigns.com. I've been a member at that community since last July or August...I think it was July. Anyways, I've been on so many message boards but this one was small at first and has grown so much since then. (Erica, you rock!) I became a consultant or actually I'm a hobbyist for the discount. It's worth it. And free Shipping on the 1st and 15th. If you haven't check it out please do. The atmosphere is great. The ladies are fun and the Design Team is amazing and rock the RAKS!!! So go to www.acbaileydesigns.com. Oh yeah, if you're going to buy anything be sure to put my name in the consultant box at check out so I can get credit!
